LINTHICUM, MD (WJZ) – A written threat prompted a large police presence at Baltimore-Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport on Monday night, officials said.
Flight 2104 Southwest Airlines from Phoenix to Baltimore landed at the BWI around 5:15 p.m., at which point law enforcement investigated what an airport spokesman called a “suspicious message.”
Specific details of the threat were not immediately available.

The plane had 101 passengers and crew on board, the airport said.
“Out of an abundance of precaution, the aircraft was parked in a remote area of the airfield,” the airport said in a statement on Twitter. “The passengers were safely unloaded from the aircraft to the transfer buses and brought to the airport terminal.”
Subsequently, officials considered the threat not credible.
“Our crew followed the protocol by notifying the competent authorities and moving the aircraft to a remote location while awaiting further instructions. Authorities arrived immediately and boarded the aircraft, transferring the 97 passengers and six crew members to the bus to be transferred to the terminal, “said a spokesman for the Southwest.
