One buyer shared a funny response to an unexpected discovery in his Woolworths food order.

The Australian man was surprised to learn that a box of Cadbury Crunchie ice cream had already been opened before being delivered home.

Worse, one of the ice creams was missing, prompting him to easily share his situation on Twitter under the handle, @joshystuart.

Inspired by the iconic slogan of Liam Neeson in the action blockbuster, Taken, the client suggested that his ice cream was held hostage and pleaded for its safe return.

“I ordered some food from Woolworths and saw that one of my Crunchie ice creams was missing!” wrote on Twitter.

– If you return it now, this will be the end. I will not look for you. I will not follow you. But if you don’t, I’ll find you …

The original quote, about the kidnapping of Neeson’s daughter on the screen, reads:

“If you let me go to my daughter now, this will be the end.”

‘I will not look for you, I will not follow you. But if you don’t, I’ll look for you, find you and kill you.

A Woolworths representative responded with an equally amusing apology, offering the man a full refund.

“Oh, no, we’re sorry to see some of the Crunchie ice cream missing,” the representative wrote.

“We hope that no one holds them hostage, because we can tell you to enjoy them.

“We may not be able to help with the redemption, but we would like to see if we can arrange a refund.”

Since then, the buyer and Woolworths have exchanged details to arrange a refund.
