The woman with the longest nails in the world cuts them after almost 30 years

Guinness World Records (GWR), in collaboration with Ripley’s Believe it or Not !, released new measurements for the record title GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ for the longest nails on a pair of hands (female) at 733.55 centimeters (24 feet 0 , 7 inches), held by Ayanna Williams.

After cultivating them for nearly three decades, the Texas native and record holder cut her iconic nails to begin a new chapter in her life.

The world record authority collaborated with Belley It or Not by Ripley! based on the final measurement of Ayanna’s nails before the cutting procedure in Fort Worth, TX, USA.

Her record nails are now immortalized with the updated record title and the new Ripley’s Believe It or Not! Orlando Odditorium.

When asked about her nail show at Ripley, Ayanna explained, “It will feel like a wax of mine. Even if it’s just my nails, it will be amazing. I can’t wait to see that !! Guinness World Records and Ripley’s Believe It’s or isn’t! It’s dedicated to this. I’d rather have them than anyone else. And one thing is history for my children and grandchildren. It’s very interesting! “

Ayanna, who felt mixed emotions about cutting her nails, first won the record title GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS in 2017, when her nails totaled 576.4 centimeters, on both hands.

See here the photos with the appearance of the nails and the process of cutting them:

Prior to the emotional procedure, Dr. Allison Readinger, a board-certified dermatologist, had her nails measured and found that they had grown substantially since being certified for the 2017 record title.

Ayanna’s nails reached an incredible 13 inches in her right hand and 15 inches in her left hand, bringing her total nail length to 3 inches. After the cut, Ayanna expressed her relief instantly on her thumb and wrists.

Ripley’s Believe It or Not! will keep and display these nails, officially certified by Guinness World Records, to honor Ayanna’s incredible efforts and inspire generations to visit the exhibition, starting Friday, April 9th.

She encourages the longest nail enthusiast to make history and pursue a record title. “Do what you want to do! Let everyone be themselves. If you want to grow your nails, do it!”, Adds Ayanna.
