Kentucky and Louisville soiled the good name of college basketball on Saturday with 40 minutes of ugly basketball. Despite the poor play, Kentucky had a chance to win. Olivier Sarr’s attempt from the corner, the same place where he missed a winner of the game vs. Notre Dame hit every spot on the rim before launching. The Wildcats lost 62-59, the sixth in a row in Kentucky and the first against Louisville in 2016.

Sarr was 0-4 at night, scoring one point and one rebound. Terrence Clarke was unmarked, his ankle injury was blocked, and BJ Boston scored just 3 of 11. Davion Mintz was the brightest star in Great Britain, managing to finish with four three with 19 points and seven rebounds.
Great Britain had another second half of the drought, scoring nine minutes without a goal on the field. Despite the more offensive ineptitude, Kentucky still had a chance to win due to a bizarre and ugly success of events.
– Isaiah Jackson misses his own.
– Carlik Jones hit the bench in the middle of the paint.
– Sarr makes two free throws.
– UofL shooting clock violation.
– Jackson misses 12 feet (and was not very close).
– UofL walk.
– Jackson goes 1 to 2 from the free throw line to tie the game at 59.
– Dr. Davis of the UofL is out of the basic limit.
– Askew forces a three as the shot clock spins, Great Britain is called for a free kick on return.
– Davis misses the first free throw, makes the second.
– Sarr’s shot goes in and out.
Kentucky lost a rock fight. I’m 1-6 now, limping in the SEC game.
