The Weeknd shocks with plastic surgery in the video “Save your tears”

The weekend certainly embraces “the new year, new us”.

The 30-year-old singer presents some disturbing facial changes – similar to an extreme plastic surgery – in the video for his new song, “Save the Tears”, which premiered on Tuesday and is from his album “After Hours”.

“But then you saw me, I caught you by surprise,” he sings appropriately in the video, in which he displays a thin (and crooked) nose, swollen cheeks, swollen lips, surgical scars and other horrible features.

His exaggerated new grotesque appearance certainly left viewers trembling.

“Why does The Weeknd show in the music video Save Your Tears!?! I do not like ” said a terrified fan, while another borrowed lyrics from his 2018 hit “Can’t Feel My Face” to identify a disadvantage of prostheses, saying, “I bet he can’t feel his face now.”

A fan speculated that it is “shadow” and a response to the now-postponed 2021 Grammy Awards, a move that left him seemingly emotionally – if not physically – bruised.

Other tweeters suggested a new line of work: playing the villainous Batman The Joker. Some, meanwhile, made comparisons to – and called it a “Modern version” of late, surgery-obsessed singer Michael Jackson.

Representatives for The Weeknd did not immediately respond to The Post’s request for comment that its new annoying appearance was made by prostheses or CGI.

Of course, wearing heavy makeup is nothing new for The Weeknd, which will play at the 2021 Super Bowl on February 7th.

The video for his single “Blinding Lights” featured his bloody, bruised post-bender face – an aspect he recreated for the MTV Video Music 2020 awards last August.

And in November, she covered her battered face again with a surgical dressing to accept an award on stage at the American Music Awards.
