Saturday night live ‘s Michale Che and Colin Jost celebrated the last “Weekend Update” segment about Donald Trump for that year, with a musical montage that listed “the greatest moments of the current incumbent.”
SNL the segment compiled Trump’s infamous moments while at the White House in a dramatic presentation set to Seismonic’s gloomy “Closing Time.” Part of the video was filmed at a rally in which Trump testified to an African-American supporter throwing paper towels at Puerto Rico’s hurricane victims and mocking a disabled journalist. Inauguration Day is coming in 2021, President-elect Joe Biden and Vice President-elect Kamala Harris will take over the White House.
The Weekend Update anchors have also taken up a number of other topics, including the vaccine and Tom Cruise’s recent tirade on Covid-19 protocols. In an audio clip, Mission impossible the actor can be heard shouting at the crew members on the set for violating the coronavirus guidelines. While the buzzing sound sparked a series of reactions, Che and Jost took the actor’s moment as a chance simulated camera tricks used to make Cruise look taller on screen.
Che and Jost ended their segment by exchanging too controversial jokes for other previous segments. From jokes about the black community and its skepticism about the coronavirus vaccine to other blows to subjects, including Disney + Hocus Pocus Next, Jost read one of the Che’s that came too close to home.
A very hit face the author then went on to recite a joke Che had written about the problematic plays of Scarlett Johansson, Jost’s wife.
