The video shows the M train completely naked with graffiti

Graffiti artists hit several cars on an M train, completely degrading them from top to bottom with colored labels and causing tens of thousands of dollars in property damage, the MTA said Wednesday.

The video posted on Instagram on Monday shows the subway train – with cartoon-like characters and representations of a horizon exposed through a brick wall – crashing along the rails of an unspecified high-rise Big Apple station.

Officials discovered the vandalism around 6:50 a.m. Monday, according to the MTA.

The vandals apparently hit the train in a so-called Queens development area near Forest Hills-71st Avenue, which is under NYPD’s responsibility to patrol, the transit agency said, noting that the incident was reported to the police department. .

The graffiti train has been down since then.

“Vandalism costs New Yorkers service to customers while cars are being cleaned, requires transit workers to wash graffiti rather than their usual obligations, and costs taxpayers money that could be used to improve service.” MTA spokesman Shams Tarek The Post said in a statement.

“We are cooperating with the NYPD in investigating this latest case of crimes that have caused tens of thousands of dollars in damages and we will seek restitution from anyone found guilty.”
