The U.S. Embassy allows its immigrant visa unit on a limited basis

The U.S. Embassy announced on Tuesday that its immigrant visa unit will be back up and running, albeit to a limited extent, based on previously made arrangements.

“In the immigrant visa unit we have resumed our activities on a limited basis … all appointments will be scheduled via the email you provided to the Visa unit or the NVC” read some of the information provided by the entity published.

According to the statement, the priority cases will be the appointments for children adopted by US citizens; for the husband, child, and parents of civilians, as well as the betrothed and engaged couples of a US citizen.

Also in this group are immigrant visa applicants, who applied for an interview between March 16, 2020 and April 30, 2020 and who have been canceled due to the closure of the visa services.

They also clarified that if the application for an immigrant visa is in the National Visa Center (NVC), your application along with accompanying documentation must be sent directly to that institution for processing, through its web portal.
