Wild breath mud Waikuteru is on the roll. Last week, they recovered the glorified storage unit that is Link’s home. Now they have taken full control of the huge house that houses Link’s house, by which I mean Hyrule.

In a new video, Waikuteru demonstrates how a modding discovery allows them to edit Wild breathWorld over world, which means that now it is possible to recreate others Zelda games inside BOTWexpansive limits. Waikuteru demonstrated this by throwing a piece of The sword to the sky– Skyloft city – in the game, floating waterfalls and extremely specific color palette included.

In the video, Waikuteru explained how they accomplished this.

“There are four worlds accessible in Wild breath: The normal oversized world you can see in the background, the world you will be deformed in when you enter an altar, MainFieldDungeon (you will play in this world when you try to complete a Divine Beast or the final process), [and] AocField (this is a new world that has been added with Master’s trials DLC, better known as The Sword Process). MainField … is separated into 80 map sections. ”

AocField is divided in the same way, but uses only 5 of the 80 sections of the map. “The other 75 sections of the map are free for us,” Waikuteru said. They put Skyloft in section 75 of the map and started jumping and running to other empty and busy sections. As they did so, the lighting and music of the game changed rapidly depending on what kind of location Link was supposed to be.

What this means, in theory (and apparently in practice), is that the possibilities for Wild breath modding is now much higher than before. The sky – or at least The sword to the sky“It’s a limit.”
