JRPG from Rabbit & Bear Studios doubled the money raised by Platinum Games “The Wonderful 101: Remastered”

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes was the most successful Kickstarter campaign this year for a video game.

According to research conducted by Polygon, which ranked the largest crowdfunding campaigns for video games in the last 12 months.

Rabbit & Bear Studios’ Eiyuden Chronicle is firmly in the top with over 481 million yen (about $ 4.6 million) raised from over 46,000 supporters.

When the campaign ended, it was the third largest total for a video game project in Kickstarter history and broke the record for most money raised by a Japanese Kickstarter campaign.

Third was Owlcat Games’ RPG Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, with another 2,000 supporters, but a total of just over $ 2 million.

The first ten Kickstarter game campaigns raised over $ 12.5 million.

By comparison, the individual campaign with the highest winnings for a table game was Dungeon-crawler Frosthaven, at $ 12.9 million.
