The suburb of Houston, Woodlands, declared the city no. 1 to live in the USA

THE WOODLANDS, Texas (KTRK) – The Woodlands, a 28,000-acre master-planned community north of Houston, has moved the Niche List of America’s Best Cities in the past two years. Now, for the first time, it ranks first.

Niche, an online platform that helps people choose schools and places to live, announced on March 15 that The Woodlands is ranked No. 1 on its 2021 list of the best cities to live in America. Woodlands ranked second last year and fourth in 2019.

Niche generates rankings by combining data from the U.S. Census Bureau, the FBI, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, and the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and goes through millions of reviews from residents. Among the classified factors that the niche considers are accessibility, the real estate market, the diversity of the neighborhood, public schools and accessibility on the go.
