The Crackle streaming service will award a series of documentaries in five parts Power: The Nintendo Story game on March 1.
According to Deadline, this series was written and directed by Jeremy Snead and executed by executive producer (and narrated, by the way) by Sean Astin (aka Samwise from Lord of the Rings).
It tells the “long story” of the Japanese “secret” company and includes interviews with individuals such as former Nintendo of America CEO Reggie Fils-Aimé, Xbox boss Phil Spencer, former Sega of America CEO Tom Kalinske, co-founder of Atari. Nolan Bushnell. , NoA co-founder Ron Judy and more.
Snead has previously worked on a number of film and television projects for video games and says that the production and direction of his latest series was “a lifelong ambition” as an artist, player and director.
Astin adds to this – noting how he believes this five-part journey will “open up the world of video games and this legendary company in a way that most people have never seen before.”
