The state is creating a map to help patients find the COVID-19 vaccine provider

HOUSTON – The push to get the COVID-19 vaccine is now moving at a high speed, so the next challenge is to find a provider, a hospital or a medical clinic or even a pharmacy to give you the vaccine.

To help us all, the Texas State Department of Health Services has created an interactive map that makes it easy to find a provider in your neighborhood.

To use it, simply start clicking on the map over the Houston area.

The map will get closer and closer to the subway area with each click.

When you get close enough to see different cities and suburbs, just go to the city side and then click one of the points in your area.

Up displays a provider’s location, along with the phone number to call to book an appointment, the provider’s address, and what type of provider you are looking at, pharmacy, doctor’s office, medical clinic, or hospital.

The website even tells you how many doses of the vaccine were given by the state.

Now that you know where to go, it’s important to call that location first before entering.

You will need to schedule an appointment through the provider, you will not be able to enter and get vaccinated.
