The “terrible” events happen because “Homer” fell asleep and forgot to vote on November 3. Later, on January 20, 2021, the father of the “Simpsons” appears above his house in Springfield, drinking a beer with a grater, pots and strainers.

Then a huge robot hits “Juan Topo”, while saying: “It simply came to my notice then that I voted for Kanye [West]”. In turn, Lenny and Carl they only notice hidden behind a destroyed car and with the city on fire.
The scene ends with the four horsemen described in the book of Revelation: plague, famine, and war. The fourth, death, is replaced by the name of the chapter in English: “Treehouse of Horror XXXI”.
