The shocking leak of the Apple MacBook Pro confirms the massive update

With the launch of Apple’s silicone-powered Macs, Apple has given its competitors a glove. And the Cupertino company is not based on these steps. The plans for the 2021 improvements to the M1 chip along with some new hardware are impressive enough, but the big change in 2022 will be a shock to the competition.

The M1 architecture is built around the manufacture of 5nm silicon. According to the latest reports, Apple has placed an order with TSMC for the manufacture of 3nm. The GSMArena team has more:

“Sources familiar with the matter say he said [3nm] the chips will likely power future iPads and MacBooks. This means we will see 5nm or maybe 5nm + chips for another year. TSMC is almost ready with the certification process, so it will probably start sample production next year, while mass production will take place in 2022.

ARM-based Apple Silicon debut with M1-powered MacBook Pro, MacBook Air and Mac Mini has given the macOS platform a huge slap in the face in terms of gross performance. In the average consumer space, the two MacBooks offer powerful alternatives, with higher comparative results than comparable Windows 10 laptops.

Those already embedded in the macOS platform will welcome these improvements when it comes time to update their Mac. Those who want to move from Windows 10 have to make a more complicated decision, with investments in a new user interface, macOS versions of their key applications and the integration of their workflow into the Apple cloud.

Thanks to the latest reports we can see what happens in 2022, namely the launch of a new M-class processor built on 3nm technology. This should give Apple hardware a choice of increased performance compared to 5 nm chips, low power consumption, or a mixture of both. Given the gains already shown by M1 compared to Intel Core chips, it is unlikely to see the same massive gain in performance.

But with the transition to 3nm manufacturing and the technical gains to be found, MacOS software improvements from the feedback of countless consumers with new hardware and improvements in the physical design of new Macs to optimize performance, will see Apple continue to push the boundaries as the competition gets over.
