The appointed secretary of Department of Education, Elba Aponte Santos, met with lawmakers, regional office officials and mayors in the south of the country to detail the plan to reopen schools.
In a post on Twitter, the agency shared images of the various meetings it had.

Yesterday, Governor Pedro Pierluisi Urrutia expressed his intention to reopen the country’s schools by early March, as well as to vaccinate all school staff to avoid further infections.
