inspector Mauricio Francisco Osoria Castillo, accused of conceiving a minor, was arrested on Tuesday.
Osori Castillo is accused by the Public Ministry of the crime of kidnapping children, because he made a 17-year-old pregnant woman.
The inspector is arrested in the pretrial detention of the Palace of Justice in Santiago waiting to know the extent of the coercion.
Attorney General Miriam Germán Brito has appointed Santiago Court of Appeal prosecutor Víctor González to investigate investigator Osoria Castillo.
Germán Brito ordered an investigation into the case in response to a request from Deputy Attorney General Juan Medina de los Santos, Inspector General of the Public Ministry, who ex officio confiscated a disciplinary investigation against Inspector Osoria Castillo.
Inspector Medina de los Santos is investigating the case after a woman filed a complaint with a justice of the peace on December 28, 2020, claiming alimony from Inspector Osoria Castillo, on the grounds that she was 23 weeks pregnant.
