Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s the remaining DLC characters have probably leaked. This week, Nintendo unveiled Pyra and Mythra from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 come to the game and complete the next slot in Fighters Pass Volume 2, which is slowly but surely nearing its end. In the process, Nintendo gave credence to a Super Smash Bros. last leak since the beginning of this year, the word apparently transmitted by Pyra and Mythra being added before being announced.
The leak dates back to early 2021 and claimed that Nintendo was planning a special three-hour concert in 2022 for Super Smash Bros. last. At the time, many instantly leaked due to the fact that it came from 4chan, however, while listing the concert track, Counterattack from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 immediately after Sephiroth’s One-Winged Angel. Why is this remarkable? Well, not only do Pyra and Mythra come right after that Sephiroth, but the same song was used in the revealed trailer of the characters. In other words, at the time, the leaker suggested characters from Xenoblade Chronicles 2 they were next. And it looks like they are.
Now, could the leaker in question have been lucky? Absolutely, but this is incredible luck, because no one expected Pyra and Mythra. That being said, if the leak is genuine – and it looks like it could be – then Crash Bandicoot will follow before a character from Monster hunter complete the Fighters Pass.
Of course, for now, all this should be taken with a grain of salt. However, the recent announcement Pyra and Mythra has Super Smash Bros. last players re-examine this leak, which may become legitimate. It wouldn’t be the first time a random 4chan leak has come true, but it’s certainly not common.
