The Red Sox are looking to replace outfielder Andrew Benintendi

Andrew Benintendi, Red Sox player left, appeared to be a team match in 2016-2018, averaging .282 / .359 / .447, 38 home runs, 78 doubles and 42 steals in 333 games. But after falling back in 2019, he only played 14 games in 2020 due to injuries. Now, seems to be out of Boston.

Jim Bowden of The Athletic reported that Red Sox hold “serious trade talks” with several teams on Benintendi. Rob Bradford of WEEI heard the same information.

According to Bowden, Boston is asking for one or more customers in exchange for the 26-year-old patrol, with an emphasis on pitching and outfield. Benintendi has two more seasons under control before becoming a free agent and will earn $ 6.6 million in 2021.
