The PS5 player warns of the most bizarre problems of the DualSense controller

It is said that a new problem arises for PlayStation 5 players – especially for those who could wear a watch. Some who have used the PS5’s DualSense controller have found that the device is somewhat magnetized. While this may not mean much to most people, players who wear mechanical watches may want to be careful.

This information appeared on Reddit, where a user named Siguchi reported the initial details. The post states that while the DualSense controller may not affect your mechanical watch, the portable device emits a magnetic charge. Several wired users reaffirmed this and confirmed that it is true. One user even compared DualSense with DualShock 4 and found that the former has a much stronger load than the latter.

PSA: Do not wear a mechanical watch when using DualSense from r / PS5

While this may be a cause for concern for some, it does not appear that the charge emitted by DualSense is strong enough to cause serious damage to a watch that you may be wearing. After other tests, the original wire poster found that the magnetic intensity drops to fairly normal levels just a few inches away from the controller. This means that even if you wear a mechanical watch, you probably shouldn’t be affected.

However, the whole situation is certainly a fascinating one to find out. Although many more internal things happen compared to previous PlayStation controllers, it’s surprising to find that DualSense actually emits a small electromagnetic field. Apparently, haptic feedback and adaptive triggers require certain forms of technology that we did not expect.

So what do you think about this revelation? And are you worried if you can wear a watch or other devices now while playing PS5? Let me know in the comments or access me on Twitter at @ MooreMan12 if you want to talk more.
