New ideas is the only political institute that did not confirm its presence at the meeting convened by prosecutor Raúl Melara.
The Attorney General of the Republic, Raúl Melara, and the leaders of several political parties are meeting on Monday morning at a public ministry headquarters to address the situation of violence committed on Sunday evening when an FMLN caravan was attacked with bullets.
According to some sources from the Prosecutor’s Office, Idei noi was the only political institute that did not confirm its participation in the Melara meeting, as the CD joined the meeting at the last moment.

In the meantime, the representatives of the parties who arrived at the FGR headquarters on time agreed in their previous statements that the attack was a reprehensible act.
Representatives of various political parties condemned the attacks and assassinations of Frente Farabundo Martí para la Liberación Nacional (FMLN) militants that took place on Sunday evening. These assessments were given this morning while entering the General Prosecutor’s Office (FGR) to meet with prosecutor Raúl Melara.
In this regard, Rodolfo Parker of the PDC said “it is a fact that we certainly regret with our souls, it is reprehensible and, as Christian Democrats, we sympathize with the pain it has caused them and their families, for political institutes, mourning means for a democracy that has cost us so much blood to build ”.
“The hatred that is being built from the highest spheres has materialized and could continue to materialize, and this campaign of hatred must stop,” Parker warned.
The representative of the GANA Party, Mario Tenorio, also considered these events intolerable, “these types of events are intolerable, they are unacceptable and worrying is that they take place in the political campaign, so we, as a GANA parliamentary group condemn this case and hope that the institutionalization really works and that the responsibilities of the case can be deduced ”.

In the same vein, Erick Salguero from ARENA expressed his opinion, stating: “we politicians and the president cannot have a hate speech”.
Salguero took the opportunity to request the mediation of the United Nations and the Organization of American States (OAS) for the rest of the campaign.
In the armed attack on left-wing militants in central San Salvador, two people were killed Sunday night and at least two wounded. The prosecutor’s office reported the capture of three suspects in this case.
The event provoked the pronouncement of the country’s political and economic class, in addition to the international organizations that condemned the attack.
