The prosecutor’s office is asking Interpol to capture Axel López

Tegucigalpa.

After obtaining the formal indictment for Marco Bográn and Alex Moraes, former Invest-H officials, Honduran Public Ministry called on the International Police (Interpol) to capture Axel López, the legal representative of HospitalesMoviles.com and Elmed Medical Systems INC, involved in the irregular sale of mobile hospitals to Honduras.

In this regard and by virtue of the unknown location, the deputy proceeded in court to issue an international arrest warrant against the businessman of Guatemalan origin.

Yuri Mora, communications officer of Public ministry, mentioned that Axel López was included in the tax requirement in which they are also taxed Marco Bográn and Alex Moraes.

It should be recalled that Axel López was the intermediary in the acquisition of mobile hospitals by Invest-H. The businessman bought the hospital modules from a Turkish company and sold them to Inversión Estratégica de Honduras.

In this transaction, says the Public Ministry, Axel López would have earned more than 20 million dollars (over 480 million lempiras).

Marco Bográn made the direct purchase of mobile hospitals, for which Invest-H paid $ 48 million (1.2 billion lempiras) in cash. The modules were to be delivered “turnkey”, ie ready to go into operation; However, only the one in San Pedro Sula works, another that was installed in Tegucigalpa is not suitable for treating patients with covid, while the other five have not yet been installed.

In the tax requirement, the Public Ministry accuses Axel Lopez of two offenses of fraud to the detriment of the public administration as a necessary cooperator.
