Santo Domingo, RD.
The Attorney General’s Office (PGR) reported that investigations into the case of Kimberly Taveras, a former youth minister, continue this week with a summons to her ex-husband.
In a press release indicating a corruption investigation involving former Finance Minister Donald Guerrero Ortiz and former Reserve Bank General Manager Simón Lizardo Mézquita, the body states that the Persecution Directorate and the Special Prosecutor’s Office for Administrative Corruption (Pepca) will ask Carlos Ventura, Taveras’ ex-husband this week.
The day and time when Kimberly’s ex-husband will be interviewed are still unknown.
“For this week, the Persecution Directorate and Pepca are scheduled to continue interrogating the various officials of the Chamber of Accounts. Juan Carlos Ventura, who is being investigated in the corruption case against his ex-wife Kimberly Taveras Duarte, former youth minister, will also be heard, “PGR said in a press release.
In December last year, after a license to investigate her property, Kimberly Taveras Duarte reported that she was resigning as youth minister.
Now the former minister has clarified that he has a way to show the country how he acquired all his assets, at her young age, which amounts to 74 million US dollars.
