Yesterday, President Luis Abinader began in this city the national program of building over 3,000 houses for humble families, in nine locations in the country, with an initial investment of 32 million USD.
He defined this project as the most important that any government in the country has undertaken, when he took the first pike in the southwest, near Hato del Yaque, he was accompanied by many officials from his government.
Abinader organized a wide day of inaugurations of important works, most of them belonging to the private sector, such as the new building of the Cibao Association of Savings and Loans, one of the main institutions of this kind in the country, in the first place.
He was also present in the expansion of the services of the Metropolitan Hospital of Santiago and inaugurated improvements in the water supply of the Iglesia Sabana, the Corporation of the Aqueduct and Sewerage of Santiago.
He also visited the Northern Medical Union, where Public Health Minister Daniel Rivera and his predecessor, Plutarco Arias, are senior directors, and culminated in a football match at the stadium located at the Pontificia Universidad Católica Madre y Teacher.
