The premiere of “American Idol” shows Claudia Conway ready to shine

In her starring role in the premiere of Sunday’s “American Idol” season, the social media phenomenon, Claudia Conway, declares that she has officially been removed from the shadow of her famous parents.

The 16-year-old daughter of Donald Trump adviser Kellyanne Conway and conservative but anti-Trump lawyer George Conway details her education before the show’s judges in a recently released, top-notch video obtained by People magazine.

“I’m Claudia Conway,” she tells Judges Katy Perry, Luke Bryan and Lionel Richie.

“My mother is Kellyanne Conway. He worked for Donald Trump. And my father is George Conway. He worked against Donald Trump.

“It’s a lot, but I agree that I don’t agree with my mother and father,” she says in the video.

“You probably know me as a 15-year-old emancipation girl or that blonde woman from Fox News’ daughter,” Claudia says in a home video. “I’m a little more than that.”

She adds, “When your mother works for the president of the United States, with whom you disagree, it’s hard.”

She adds: “For most of my life, my feelings have been suppressed. Then I received the social networks and I said: “Well, yes. Now my voice is heard. ”

Claudia concludes: “The Internet can be a very, very dark place, but when life goes downhill, I have my music. Now, I want to get out of the controversy, get out of the drama and let people know I’m a singer, and that’s what I want to do. ”

In November, Claudia suggested she audition for the reality show.

That was a few months before police showed up at her family’s mansion in Alpine, New Jersey, determined by the teenager who posted a series of videos claiming that her mother, Kellyanne, 54, was abusive. and that he also accidentally posted a topless photo of her.

Despite the dramaturgy, Conways supported their daughter’s singing ambitions, with George Conway accompanying Claudia to her audition last year.

“We are proud of Claudia entering the arena and sharing her beautiful voice and inspirational message about mental health with others,” Kellyanne Conway previously told People.
