The plane that crashed early Monday in Pedernales did not have a flight plan to the Dominican Republic, according to the president of the Civil Aviation Council (JAC), José Marte Piantini.
The aircraft crashed and caught fire near the coast of Oviedo, in the province mentioned above, and polito died.
Mars Piantini said the case is being investigated by the Ministry of Defense and the National Directorate for Drug Control (DNCD).
“It was not registered, it was a plane flying illegally to the Dominican Republic,” he said.
He said it was necessary to wait for the DNCD and the state security forces to establish through investigations what happened to the aircraft.
Regarding the incident, the judges of the Court of Permanent Instruction in Pedernales interrogated two Dominicans and a Brazilian who were arrested after the plane they were traveling in crashed and found cocaine.
The President of JAC gave his statements at Las Américas International Airport, José Francisco Peña Gómez, where, together with other officials in the sector, he put into operation a module of the organization where passengers can obtain information and complain about their flights. .
According to the details of the case, two people were inside the plane, one of them being arrested by the Dominican authorities, while the other passenger died after the accident.
Those arrested were Víctor Vinicio Desirva, Carlos Ernesto Cuevas Pérez, known as Kuki Malote; and Erizón Terrero Medina.
