The Philadelphia 76ers-Oklahoma City Thunder game on Sunday night has been postponed

The Philadelphia 76ers-Oklahoma City Thunder game on Sunday night was postponed due to the pursuit of contacts within the Sixers, the NBA announced.

The game has been postponed in accordance with the league’s health and safety guidelines because the 76ers do not meet the minimum requirement of the eight-player list.

Tracking contacts is linked to Saturday’s loss to the Memphis Grizzlies, sources for ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski said.

The Grizzlies ranked Jonas Valanciunas as eliminated for Monday’s game against the Phoenix Suns, as the center entered the league’s health and safety protocols. The Grizzlies played the Minnesota Timberwolves on Wednesday before their Friday game was postponed due to pursuit of Wolves contacts. Karl-Anthony Towns announced that he tested positive for COVID-19 on Friday.

The Sixers have been battling the delay for more than a week after goalkeeper Seth Curry tested positive for COVID-19 on Jan. 7. They played with just eight players on January 9 against the Nuggets.

They used only nine players in Saturday’s loss and recorded six on their injury report. Two came out due to health and safety protocols (Curry and Vincent Poirier), with Joel Embiid (knee), Furkan Korkmaz (groin) and Mike Scott (knee) sitting with injuries. That would leave six other players on Sunday due to following contacts.

The Sixers are set to host the Boston Celtics on Wednesday night.
