The People’s Force swears another PLD deputy

Popular Force President Leonel Fernández on Wednesday swore in MP Félix Michell, who resigned from the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) last week.

During his remarks at the ceremony in Santiago, the former president of the Republic defined the oath of the young leaders as the success of his party, stating that what guarantees the maintenance of a political organization over time is the youth.

He is the legislator of the lower house number 15 who assimilated the People’s Force since the end of the last elections.

It is also the second day in a row that the organization receives another PLD deputy, as last Tuesday Lourdes Aybar, along with her husband and former lawmaker Elías Serulle, were sworn in by Fernández in Santo Domingo.

During the event, the provincial president of the Fuerza del Pueblo in Santiago, José Izquierdo, also exhausted a turning point, who explained that since the establishment of this political organization a “growth commission” has been formed which has managed to attract 7 from the party purple of 10 members of the Municipal Committee and three councilors.
