The Packers place OT Jared Veldheer on the COVID-19 reserve list

The latest addition to the Green Bay Packers list is no longer available.

According to the league’s trading line, the Packers placed offensive striker Jared Veldheer on the reserve list / COVID-19 on Wednesday.

Veldheer, who was inducted into the Indianapolis Colts on Tuesday, did not train with the Packers on Wednesday because of a positive test. The packers listed him as a non-participant in the injury report due to an unrelated issue.

Conformable Rob Demovsky of ESPN, The Packers have eliminated the contact tracking part of the league’s protocols, which means no other player has to join Veldheer on the reserve list.

The concern now for Matt LaFleur’s team is that any other players gave positive results between Saturday’s playoff game against the Los Angeles Rams.

Veldheer, who played in two Packers games last season, returned to Green Bay after playing in the Colts playoff game against Buffalo Bills last Saturday. Because he was on the Colts training team, Veldheer was eligible to sign with the Packers.

Coach Matt LaFleur said Veldheer will provide valuable depth along the offensive line, especially behind alleged starters Billy Turner and Rick Wagner in offensive attacks. This idea is now destroyed.

Just three days before the start, Veldheer will miss Saturday’s game against the Rams, but could be prepared for the NFC championship game if the Packers beat the Rams.
