The Overwatch fan reveals realistic versions of the game’s heroes

The heroes of Overwatch they proved to be one of the biggest attractions of the game, inspiring quite a lot of passion from the fan community. Some of these have taken the form of works of art, and Reddit user _m0us316_ is no exception; using the online tool Artbreeder, they managed to create realistic images for 27 of the current heroes that can be played! While some of the heroes have come out looking more faithful to their appearance in the game than others, it is an impressive feat overall, and Blizzard fans should definitely take a look at what _m0us316_ could do with the online tool!

Images of the heroes can be found in the Reddit post embedded below.

My attempt to make “realistic” portraits on most Overwatch lists using Artbreeder. (Note: features such as scars, tattoos, etc.) may be missing from r / Overwatch

Of course, the post above is missing some notable heroes of the game. There are 32 characters that can be played in the game starting with this writing and not all of them are humanoids. Heroes like Winston and Wrecking Ball are especially lacking, as it might be a little strange to see images of a gorilla and a hamster included with all these realistic images. Similarly, the omnipotent heroes Bastion, Orisa and Zenyatta, of course, did not make the cut. However, the other 27 heroes are all there and look pretty impressive! While _m0us316_ did not include tags for each hero, fans of the game should have no trouble figuring out what the character is.

Interestingly, _m0us316_ may have to add another portrait to that set in the near future, as Blizzard is currently teasing to add the next hero to the game. Earlier this month, Overwatch director Jeff Kaplan has suggested that the Kanezaka map could have clues about the next hero to join the game. Fans believe that he will be a hero associated with a fox, but the details remain thin at this time. A full disclosure is likely to come to BlizzCon in February.

Overwatch is currently available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC. You can check out all of our previous game covers right here.
