A new Nintendo Switch Online report has bad news for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch Lite subscribers. At the moment, Nintendo Switch Online treats those who subscribe to the subscription service with “free” NES and SNES games every month. In 2021, the Nintendo Switch Online library is full of many of the best and most popular SNES and NES games. As it fills up, many subscribers begin to wonder what’s next. The obvious thing to do is to add N64 games to the mix, what some rumors and leaks have suggested is the following. Several other rumors and leaks have suggested that Nintendo will skip the N64 in favor of adding GameCube and Wii games. In the meantime, there have even been noises, Nintendo is going to review the subscription service and add all three old consoles.
That being said, according to a new report, none of this is happening, at least not soon. Speaking about these recent rumors and rumors, industry insider Nate Drake claims that they have not heard a “piece of information” about a renewal of Nintendo Switch Online. Of course, this does not mean that it does not happen, but given that the insider was at the forefront of Nintendo Switch Pro reports, it would be strange if he did not know about an NSO review.
In addition, the insider has serious doubts that a Nintendo Switch Online revision will be distributed soon, let alone released soon. Earlier rumors, such as the one he is addressing, claim that something could happen on the OSN front as early as this month or next.
