The new terms imposed by the messaging service have alarmed many users, because those who refuse to accept them will not be able to access their account starting February 8.
The famous WhatsApp messaging application caught fire on Thursday because it asked the 2 billion users to accept the new conditions of use, which allow it to share more data with the parent company Facebook.
Users who refuse will no longer be able to access their accounts as of February 8.
On Twitter, many users were alerted on Thursday that they gave their consent without having read the changes in detail.

– IP address.
But the new conditions differ between the European Union and the rest of the world. In the case of the EU and the United Kingdom, they will only be used to develop the functionalities offered to professional WhatsApp Business accounts, AFP explained.
“WhatsApp does not share the data of its users in Europe with Facebook for Facebook to use this data to improve its products or ads,” said a spokesman for the platform.
Asked by AFP, the National Commission for Informatics and Freedoms (CNIL), a French internet regulation, recalled that since 2017 an investigation was launched into the consequences of Facebook’s acquisition of WhatsApp for 22,000 million dollars in 2014, including transfer conditions data.
