Disney + WandaVision series was (especially) a chipper TV event for Scarlet Witch and her synthetic husband. They experienced all the forced happiness on which the sitcoms of the ’50s,’ 60s and ’70s were built, but a clip from the next episode on Friday shows that he will explore what is behind the TV veneer …or rather, what around This one.

If you remember the end of the year last week’s episode, Teyonah Parris’ Geraldine he was literally thrown out of the city of Westview – and the mysterious bubble around him – apparently because he brought Wanda’s brother and his death into Ultron’s hands. The age of Ultron. This clip, which seems to be set previous at that event, apparently confirms a lot of things we were already confident about, but we still manage a surprise or two.

“Geraldine” – better known in the reality of the Marvel movie universe as Monica Rambeau, adult his daughter Captain MarvelMaria Rambeau and, in comics, herself a superhero– and SHIELD agent Jimmy Choo (Randall Park) clearly meets the Westview balloon for the first time here, before Monica, willingly or unwillingly, is sucked into the reality of television inside. And if last week’s necklace clue wasn’t enough it’s worth pointing out that Monica really is he is wearing a SWORD logo T-shirt, which probably means he is part of the Sentiment Observation and Response Department.

SWORD, alien sister-agency at SHIELD in comics, received first great teasing in the MCU at the end Spider-Man: Far From Home, with the movie apparently allusion to his arrival in the form of the new organization led by Nick Fury and a legion of Skrulls friends through the spaceship in It is post-credits scene. (Actually, I guess Jimmy moved to SWORD too, just for simplicity.) Nothing shocking there, at least so far.

However, there are some interesting things in the clip. First, there is the triumphant return of Dr. Darcy Lewis, who passed Jane Foster’s internship Thor to help SWORD with the WestView situation. And if you check that wall with SWORD files on city dwellers, they all have driver’s license cards attached … except Agnes (Kathryn Hahn) and Dottie (Emma Caufield), the latter does not appear to have a file at all. Hmm. Also, these licenses are all from New Jersey; in the first The vision and the scarlet witch comic book series in 1982, the couple moved to the suburbs of Leonia, New Jersey, after marrying and retiring from the Avengers.

Phew! There are a lot of layers. Not bad for a 53-second clip-slash-trailer! We will probably see many more tomorrow, when WandaVision returns for the episode 4.
