The new PLD Political Committee will meet for the first time since the election

The political committee of the Dominican Liberation Party (PLD) has scheduled its first regular meeting for this Wednesday, where they will discuss aspects of the body and the agenda of the party to follow in the future.

The meeting is scheduled for ten o’clock in the morning in the Bienvenido Sandoval room of the National House of PLD, in order to respect the distance recommended by the sanitary authorities.

Also, a statement from the party’s communications secretariat stated that the meeting would be held behind closed doors and that, after the conclusion, they would report the resulting resolutions.

Last Sunday, at the closing ceremony of the ninth ordinary congress “José Joaquín Bidó Medina”, the party swore in Danilo Medina the new president of the PLD, who was elected by acclamation.

They also installed Charles Mariottí as general secretary and the remaining members of the political committee to complete a 45-member registration.

“The oath of the Political Committee was taken on Sunday, and on Wednesday it scheduled its first meeting for the organization of tasks and responsibilities,” the note of the PLD’s communication secretariat reads.
