The new legend of Zelda Rumor indicates the additional relaunch of the Nintendo Switch

This year marks 35 years since the original The legend of Zelda on the NES and a new rumor suggests that the Nintendo Switch could receive more re-releases as a result. Nintendo has not yet confirmed any plans for the anniversary, but a remake The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword will be released in July. In a new video, industry analyst Jeff Grubb occasionally mentions re-releases for the series. The rumor was posted on Reddit by DirtyFlint user, who mentioned that it may have been a slip of the tongue from Grubb. That being said, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see more this year!

Grubb’s original video can be found at the top of this post (comment comes around 18:40). The original Reddit post can be found embedded below.

It’s hard to say exactly what Nintendo’s plans for this year might be. Both The Waker Waker and The Princess of Twilight received HD remakes on the Wii U. Most of Nintendo’s production was ported to the Switch, but none of these games were available on the platform. As such, it would not be a surprise to see one of these games relaunched this year. Of course, it is also possible for Link to get some sort of “3D All-Stars” compilation, similar to Super Mario 3D All-Stars.

In 2019, Nintendo released a faithful remake The Legend of Zelda: Link’s Awakening. Maybe other Zelda games could receive similar treatment this year The oracle of the ages / seasons, or Ghost hourglass, which was previously rumored. Link’s Awakening The remake was developed by Grezzo, and that team is currently working on Mitopia the remake will be released next month. Given Grezzo’s long history with Zelda remakes, the studio may be working on something for the anniversary.

Zelda is one of the most important franchises of Nintendo, so it would not be surprising to see that it has a birthday party tied with Mario. However, it remains to be seen exactly what this might entail. For now, Zelda fans will just have to wait and see!
