Following yesterday’s report on the next generation iPad and iPad Pro models, the Japanese site Mac Otakara has released a new report that provides some additional details on future iPad Pro models.
The report claims that the updated 11-inch and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models should arrive in March and that the overall design remains the same as the existing models, with a few exceptions.
The first, Mac Otakara says the 12.9-inch model will be about 0.5mm thicker than the current model, a change that could be to accommodate a long-rumored Mini-LED display that would provide better display performance compared to Traditional LCDs. The 11-inch model will apparently remain the same thickness as the current model, which is in line with rumors that only the 12.9-inch model will initially receive the “Mini-LED” display.
Secondly, it is said that the rear cameras will come out less on future models. The overall bump of the camera remains, but the additional prominence of the individual camera lenses is no longer necessary, leaving a flat bump of the camera.
Finally, it seems that there are some changes in the design of the speakers, the total number of speaker holes on the sides being reduced by two thirds and the positions of the speaker holes have changed compared to current models.
