Apple showed up refreshed iMac line in his time spring event Tuesday. Along with a slimmer shape, a 24-inch screen and a rainbow of colors, the new device has also changed the way it handles power.
The power cable of the new M1 iMac is magnetic, similar to the MagSafe cables on the MacBook. Another change is that the power brick will have an Ethernet plug-in, which means that the plug can manage both the internet and the power at the same time, rather than needing a separate adapter for it.
The power adapter wasn’t the only big change in the iMac. Refreshed computers from Apple will come with the company new M1 chip – the same processor used for the latest MacBooks and Mac Minis — for better performance and low power consumption. There is also an improved speaker system, Touch ID on wireless keyboards and 1,080p webcam. The Apple Spring Loaded event also revealed a New, more powerful iPad Pro and new purple color for iPhone.
Apple’s new range of iMacs starts at $ 1,299 ($ 1,249, $ 1,899) with four colors to choose from. One step up to $ 1,499 (1,449 GBP, 2,199 AU) gives you a range of seven colors, along with several features. Orders start on April 30.
