The National Police announced on Tuesday that a sergeant and a corporal were suspended from office until the end of the investigation process around the complaint made by Dr. Noel Antonio Gómez Ferreira for the alleged ill-treatment he received from the agents.
They reported that, in order to clarify this situation, the Cibao Central Directorate of Internal Investigations for Home Affairs started the interview process to clarify what happened and thus establish the responsibilities in accordance with the regulations.
The complaint was filed by the doctor at the Internal Affairs Directorate against two PN agents for the alleged ill-treatment on the night of February 7 in the Los Álamos sector of that city, when he was going to his residence.
