There are approximately 3,000 minors aged between 12 and 17 fully enrolled in the Moderna process and the company is working to enroll children from 6 months to 11 years.
The company aims to fully enroll 6,750 healthy pediatric participants in the US and Canada.
The news of Moderna’s success comes as the FDA recommended the Johnson & Johnson vaccine be discontinued due to concerns about blood clots.
