The Milwaukee Bucks set a 3-point record against the Miami Heat

Snow may fall from the sky in Milwaukee, but on Tuesday night in Miami, the Bucks were raining from beyond the arc.

The Milwaukee Bucks set the NBA record for a single 3-point field game, with 29 in a 144-97 victory over the Miami Heat.

The only Bucks player to play and not hit a triple was the current one. The most valuable player and Defender of the Year, Giannis Antetokounmpo, who finished with nine points.

Khris Middleton led the way with 25 points (4 out of 5 against 3), while Jrue Holiday added 24 points (6 out of 10) when the Bucks won on the first night of a back-to-back against Miami.

Their 47-point victory also equaled their third-highest victory over a defending conference champion, according to research from ESPN statistics and information.

“Some nights, the basketball gods are with you a little bit and it’s probably one of those nights for us,” Bucks coach Mike Budenholzer said.
