Last October, Microsoft has launched tab synchronization between devices for users within it Edge Dev and Canary channels. Tab synchronization is not new in the browser country; Google Chrome and Apple Safari offer it both. Just meoad sus tabbed browser and then connect to another device and open the same tabbed browser. Now this feature is finally over available to anyone using Edge, and could make this a compelling reason to switch to the Microsoft browser.

Tab Sync Edge versioning works almost identically to Chrome: sign in to your profile, turn on sync and bam, you’re done. You can also browse as a guest and add multiple profiles, which is especially useful if you’re using different email addresses on the same computer, but you don’t want the same tabs, or even bookmarks, to appear in different accounts. Each account opens in a new browser window, just like Chrome.

The new feature also syncs your browsing history between devices – any device, whether it’s Windows, MacOS, iOS or Android. Again, this is it just like Chrome, but for anyone who has former becoming more worried about them privacy using Chrome, these two great features justify the easy transition to the Edge.

Of course, the Edge has no added benefit Chrome shares, who left use the address bar as a command prompt so you don’t have to search your browser settings to change anything. But Edge is faster on both MacOS and Windows than Chrome, according to some of our recent testsand there are a lot of other features in development. Microsoft in beta channels has released numerous updates on privacy, productivity and performance. Some of the special features include: Awarns if a user’s password is in an online leak; putting dormant tabs to sleep to free up system resources; and automatic completion of the date of birth of the field and the vertical tabs. These along with all other updates are scheduled to release the stable version of Edge in the week of January. 21.

Edge has also improved in terms of privacy. This one was not an ideal browser to use before, as it sent an identifier back to Microsoft servers. That that should no longer be the case.
