The medical staff today receives the second dose of vaccine against COVID-19

Several Puerto Rican health professionals are preparing today to receive the second dose of Pfizer vaccine after 21 days of first inoculation.

As reported by Noticentro, several hospitals today will administer the second dose of this vaccine that originally arrived in Puerto Rico on December 15.

One of the hospitals that has already started the process was Ashford in Condado, where respiratory therapist Yahaira Alicea, who treated the first case of COVID and received the first vaccine, has already applied the second dose.

She told the press in the last 21 days that she had no reaction and is confident that she is immunized against the virus.

The long-term home vaccination process began yesterday in an effort agreed with the Walgreens and CVS pharmacy chains. The first to receive it was a house in Río Piedras.

Noticentro reported that between January 11 and 16, medical staff will travel to Vieques and Culebra to vaccinate health professionals in those municipalities.

In Puerto Rico, 90,000 vaccines were received and about 70,000 doses were given.
