The Masters: Tommy Fleetwood hits a memorable hole

In the most famous setting, the Englishman made a dramatic hole at par-three 16 on Thursday to shoot him in the Augusta standings.

Traveling across the pond and avoiding the bunkers surrounding the green, Fleetwood’s ball carefully dissected all obstacles to jump a few times before finding the hole.

Fleetwood, who gained prominence after his friendship with Francesco Molinari during the Ryder Cup, had a relieved look on his face as he raised his arms up in celebration, synchronized with the fans, when he saw his ball fall.

It is his second the consecutive tournament with an ace after world number 24 also got one at the WGC Match Play event.

And it is becoming an expensive habit for the 30-year-old, as is the tradition for any golfer who hits a hole in one to buy a drink for all his fellow players.

He will also receive the commemorative crystal vase handed to the Masters that he will be able to keep forever.
