The man is facing the prison for violating the quarantine in Singapore COVID-19

A Briton faces up to six years in prison for violating Singapore’s quarantine rules to meet with his then-fiancée at the same hotel, according to a report.

Nigel Skea, 52, left his room at the five-star Ritz-Carlton three times in September to meet his wife, Agatha Maghesh Eyamala, 39, in September. “Another room,” Sky News reported.

On one occasion, a maskless Skea climbed an emergency ladder to enter a room that Eyamala had booked at the hotel in downtown Marina Bay, media reported.

He then spent nine hours with Eyamala, who was not in quarantine, Sky reported.

Most travelers must stay in a hotel room or at home to be quarantined for 14 days after arriving in Singapore, media reported.

Skea pleaded guilty Monday to violating the country’s quarantine coronavirus, while Eyamala pleaded guilty to helping his partner meet at the hotel.
