The jewel whose six-digit Richard Mille watch was stolen during a full-day robbery in Beverly Hills offers a $ 50,000 reward for returning the watch, according to a new report.
Shay Belhassen hopes to recover his rare $ 500,000 rose gold watch before it hits the market – though he doubts it will be resold quickly due to the publicity the bronze storm has garnered.
“It’s a very rare watch, so anyone who is offered it will know that it is offered stolen things,” he told the Los Angeles Times.
Last week, Belhassen told The Post that he was staying with a client at the hot spot Il Pastaio on Thursday afternoon, when three armed thieves came after him and made their move to slip the celebrity-loved watch – a Pink Gold Flyback RM 11-03 Chronograph.
He grabbed the gun and knocked the suspects to the ground, but one of them escaped with the expensive piece, he said.
Four shots rang out during the fight – and one of the snails hit a woman in the leg while eating with her boyfriend.
Beverly Hills police say they believe the suspects targeted Belhassen for the luxury accessory.
The jewel told the LA Times that it is upset that similar crimes have occurred in the area in recent weeks and few have received as much attention as this one.
The robberies during which shots were fired have increased in the area – and many suspects are targeting state-of-the-art watches in the nearby Wilshire area, according to the newspaper.
