Tegucigalpa, Honduras
In the following Liberal Party Convention, the party’s bases will demand the expulsion of the presidential candidate, Luis Zelaya, and other members of the Recover Honduras movement, as reported by the leader of the respective political institute, Victor Cubas.
“First of all, it is a betrayal, which made the party to promote the candidacies of other political institutions. Liberalism is outraged throughout the country, yesterday I received countless calls from all departments, from the leadership that condemned this Luis Zelaya’s divisive attitude more at the party, “Cubas said.
He assured that in the next Liberal Party Convention To take place in April, they will demand that Luis Zelaya and other close members accompanying him be expelled because they are “traitors” of liberalism.
Cubas also said they would demand expulsion Eduardo Martell, who won candidacy for mayor of Tegucigalpa, while saying he will be replaced to promote the division within the party.
“He has been promoting Salvador Nasralla for four years and this is reason enough for their dismissal and for them to leave immediately and no longer hurt the institution,” the grassroots leader said.
Finally, Víctor Cubas argued that the next actions he would take under liberalism were covered by the statutes of the Liberal Party. They will also demand that Zelaya be held accountable for the political debt money received by CCEPL.
