The Liberal and Free Party received more votes than in 2017

Tegucigalpa, Honduras.

The votes obtained by the Liberal Party and Libertad y Refundación (free) at the presidential level in this year’s primaries already exceed the figures from the elections four years ago.

Based on the official results that the National Electoral Council (CNE) continues to process, the Liberals exceed 758,500 votes, while in the 2017 primaries registered 700,861 trademarks.

On this occasion, three presidential candidates took part in the competition, as opposed to the five candidates who took part in the last Democratic fair. Meanwhile, there was also a larger turnout in the left party, from 461,825 votes to more than 505,610 points have been achieved so far.

LEA: On April 13, the CNE will announce the winners of the primaries

In 2017, there were three internal moves that differed from the March 14 election tournament, when nine currents measured strength, six of which had candidate Xiomara Castro in alliance.

Although the National Party has more than 1,137,820 votes, it is still not reaching the 1,378,770 votes it obtained four years ago.

Elections took place 19 days ago in the country, but to date not all minutes of the closing of the ballot box have been processed, so it was not possible to make the winners official.

However, the triumph of Nasry Asfura (PN), Yani Rosenthal (PL) in turn Castro (Libre) is consolidating and the difference between brands and their opponents is widening.
