The Arc system works has just announced that Guilty Gear Strive is being postponed until June 11, 2021. The game was originally scheduled to be released on April 9, 2021 – which is just 37 days away today.
“We made the difficult decision to move the release date of Guilty Gear Strive (previously scheduled for April 9, 2021) to June 11, 2021,” Arc System Works said on Twitter. This extends the wait by another 63 days.
It was revealed that the reason for the delay is so that Arc System Works can use the feedback received after the Open Beta Test to provide the best possible game.
“Since we received valuable feedback after the recent Open Beta Test, we would like this opportunity to give us the best possible game,” Arc System Works continued. “We need extra time to polish some aspects of the game, such as online lobbies and server stability.”
In particular, the beta servers failed to handle the traffic that entered during the scheduled beta. This has allowed Arc System Works to extend the beta period so that players can participate in the Open Beta Test properly.
“We think it’s better to use the extra time to improve the quality of the game and provide a better experience for all our players,” said Arc System Works. “Thank you for your patience and understanding.”
