The latest patch of Cyberpunk 2077 would have added a game error

Last night, CD Projekt Red dropped its first major update open world shooter with problems, 2077. Cyberpunk. “Major” is a relative term. While greater than previous updates, since yesterday patch 1.1 it focuses on stability remedies rather than a large-scale review. In fact, it may have worsened the game itself – by introducing a potential bug that would destroy the game.

Patch 1.1 addresses an issue in the “Down on the Street” mission where Takemura would not sound, thus preventing any progress in the mission. He will call now, apparent, but then will not say a word. some use Say that reloading old saves or creating new save files does not fix it either.

There is at least one apparent solution. First, try calling Judy before Call Takemura. When he does, he closes the line, then tackles a side job. (The player who reported this solution approached a Delamain side mission.) Wait 24 hours in the game and Takemura should call – with dialogue and everything – allowing you to progress to “Down on the Street”.

Kotaku contacted CD Projekt Red for comments.

I play 2077. Cyberpunk on an Xbox Series X, where it performs better than It seems that on state-of-the-art consoles, but not, as one of my roommates likes to remind me so often, just like on his state-of-the-art platform. However, I encountered a few bugs from day one. There are usually garden variety hiccups: NPCs floating in the air in ways they shouldn’t, or a weapon that refuses to reload, even if we hit “X” eighteen times. Small potatoes.

I hope the funny bugs (see above) never go away.

The bug that soured me in the game appeared during the “Mission Love” side mission, in which you meet a bunch of veterans, throw back bad vodka photos as if you were at a bad brother’s party. this ?, rubs the alcohol? ”asks V), and then engages in a shooting contest. In one attempt, I failed to pull out my gun – almost an instant DQ in a shoot-off. In another, I was, but all the veterans around me were beating theirs and then they started firing at me. And that sucked. I decided to keep the game until it was in better condition.

“Love of the stadium” is not included in dozens of missions that were approached yesterdaypatch 1.1. Against my better appreciation, after downloading the 16.5 GB update (!!!), I tried searching again. I was able to fire the gun without any problems. I was shot too. So not perfect.

CDPR says yesterday’s update addresses an issue with the “M’ap Tann Pèlen” mission, in which players could encounter an obstacle trying to talk to Mr. Hands on the phone. Today I had no problem, but I had not tried the search at all before downloading the 1.1 patch. Who knows if I would have succeeded, say, three weeks ago.

In general, after spending some time with the game last night, I can say that it feels exactly the same as before I put it down. Maybe the latest generation consoles see more benefits. At the moment, social media seems to be strong, with news noting that there are patches or players pointing out how thin the notes look. CDPR say this patch is “focused on various stability improvements and bug fixes” and “lays the groundwork for the next patches”. The following follows in February, per a declaration since December.

Ten days ago, CDPR released a video stating that the big January update will be released in the next ten days. YesterdayPatch 1.1, in the most technical sense, reaches this mark. These are really updates that really address some issues with the game. He landed at 17:00 ET (22:00 Warsaw time) on a Friday. Make it what you want it to be.

It is 2077. Cyberpunk “Okay” now, in the way that Nobody’s Heaven didn’t let go of greatness? No, not yet. But this is a small step in the right direction. I’m looking forward to seeing what’s next.
