The latest free map of Overwatch allows you to fight through a cat cafe

Blizzard surprised Overwatch community with a new Free-For-All map called Kanezaka. The fictional town is located in Japan, just below Hanamura and has a pottery shop, a nightclub and a cat cafe. In a YouTube video, game director Jeff Kaplan explained that the arena began as a practice project for a new level designer. “It was so good that the team wanted to bring it to full production,” Kaplan explained. Kanezaka is now available to play in PTR, a test area that can only be accessed on your computer. However, Blizzard expects to release everyone’s map early next month.

In the video, Kaplan pointed out that the team is still focused on Overwatch 2. The long-awaited sequel promises four-player story missions, a new multiplayer mode called Push, updated images and new heroes like Sojourn. The project was announced at BlizzCon last year, but I haven’t heard much since. “We know it’s been too long,” Kaplan said. “It simply came to our notice then. And we have another way to go. “The game’s director has confirmed that more information will be revealed at his BlizzConline event next February.
